If you're not on Klout already I don't know what you're waiting for! Okay I will admit, I was a little intimidated to join Klout at first when I saw a bunch of people giving +Ks on Twitter and I had no idea what it was. I received an invite (you don't need one though) from Krystal, and thought well I have no idea how this works but let's join! I'm glad I finally did because I've received two cool FREE "perks" since joining - just for doing my thing! I just wanted to introduce you guys to Klout if you haven't joined yet and show you the perks I've received so far...

February Birchbox
Well I'm glad Birchbox is stepping up their game, for the most part. Even though I received another itty bitty sample, I got an awesome full size one to make up for it. I'm still happy with Birchbox and don't plan on canceling my subscription anytime soon. This month's theme is Spotlight, a box filled with bold makeup designed to turn heads...let's take a closer look at my samples!

FOTD Green Flash
Almost every Friday night me, my boyfriend and some friends like to hang out at our local brewery, the Green Flash. It's literally only 1 mile from my house, I could walk home if I needed to...of course I would never drink that much :P I love this place because it's super cheap...you can get tasters that are only 1oz for $1, 4oz for $2 and 8oz for $4. It's really chill (not like some crazy bar), people even bring their dogs (haven't brought mine yet...maybe I will tonight) and there's always a different food truck so you can eat too. Anyways! I just had some time to kill before heading over there tonight, so I thought I'd create a look inspired by the Green Flash Brewing Company! Mainly green, some taupe/brown and a flash of gold! All the eye shadows I used are from the Urban Decay BOSIV...

Zoya Matte Velvet Polishes
Hey guys! Today I'll be sharing all the MATTE polishes I own from Zoya, I absolutely love them! A lot of people think buying matte polishes is pointless (especially if you have a matte top coat that can turn any polish matte) but I disagree, once you see these gorgeous colors they are a must have!

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Rouge Byzantin
HUGE thank you to Mandy at Prettymaking, I won this stunning Chanel lipstick from her giveaway back in January. Mandy is a wonderfully talented makeup artist, if you aren't following her blog already I urge you to head on over and check out some of her beautiful looks! I am so grateful to have this lipstick, it is something I wouldn't normally be able to afford myself. Everything about this lipstick has me in awe, from the packaging to the actual color of this lipstick. I went a little crazy photographing but I put together these collages so you aren't overwhelmed with a ton pictures. I just to capture the luxuriousness at every angle...

Hey whatcha got inside that box?
Ruckus, my 10 month old Siberian Husky is always so curious about what I'm doing. Whenever I do my makeup on the floor he likes to sniff around (I'm a little paranoid he's going to snatch one of my brushes and run for it haha) then usually lays near me and watches. Today while taking photos inside my light box he popped in to see what was going on...I caught some photos of him in the process so I thought I'd share them :D

How To Do a Henna Strand Test + My Results
Before we begin I'd like to talk a little bit about my hair, because it can affect the results of when dying your hair with henna. I highlighted/bleached my hair blonde for the past 4 years and my hair was in terrible condition from lots heat styling (& not using a heat protectant ever in my life until a year ago). My hair was SO damaged it was literally breaking off every time I brushed it. Last October I decided I wanted to start fresh with my hair, so I cut it short and colored it as close to my natural hair color as possible (see photos of the change here)! Since then, I've been giving my hair nothing but TLC and I want to grow it long again. I knew should stop dying my hair completely if I really want to be good, but that would be hard (I can't stand roots, ugh). So I thought well if I want to continue to color my hair I should try something natural, like henna! Keep reading to learn how to do strand test and my results with LUSH's Henna Hair Dye...

Happy Valentine's Day!
Whether today is any other day or a little bit more special, I hope you have a good day :) I'm not huge on Valentine's Day, my boyfriend and I will probably go out to eat but we don't make it a big deal out of it. I wanted to be a little festive by wearing a super PINK look...pink eyes, lips and cheeks!!! The pink eyeshadow I'm wearing here is one of the Inglot Rainbow eyeshadows, #119R. I absolutely love these rainbow eyeshadows...they are matte, soft, very pigmented and you get 3 colors for only $7! I plan on buying most of the rainbow shadows, but not all at once (can't afford that haha). Continue reading to see more of this look plus another Valentine's Day NOTD!

Feels like you're beating, beating the drum beats into my heart.
I took this picture of my nails in my new light box, I'm not really liking the glare of the light so I need to play around with it some more. The title of this post is a lyric from one of my favorite Benny Benassi songs, Come Fly Away...
This song always puts me in a good mood :) I hope you enjoy this manicure and have a fantastic weekend!

EOTD Hijack
Hello beauties :) Just want to share a quick eye of the day, I've been doing lots of reviews and need to switch it up a bit. I'm really excited about these eyeshadows because they are from Urban Decay's Book Of Shadow IV! I won this super awesome palette from Cosmetics Aficionado :D I'll have photos, swatches and a review of it soon! By the way, the Book Of Shadows palette is actually on sale at HauteLook.com right now (till 2/9/12 at 6am) for only $29....pretty darn good deal for 16 eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara, primer and some gadgets. Some of the colors that immediately stood out to me were Hijack and Crystal, they are really gorgeous. Just came up with this simple blue and purple look...

My Favorite Makeup Brush Cleaners!
In my last post, I explained all the trouble I had cleaning my Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Brush. So today I will be sharing two of my favorite makeup brush cleaners: Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap and Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge. Dirty brushes harvest old makeup, dirt, bacteria, oils, dead skin cells and more...EW! That's why cleaning your brushes on a regular basis is very important, I clean my brushes every week. I know there's lots of different products you can choose from, anything from dish soap+olive oil to a brand specific one like MAC's Brush Cleanser. But these two are special to me because they are the only ones that managed to deep clean my super dense Sonia Kashuk brush...not to mention fast and with no effort at all. Keep reading to learn what *I* consider the best makeup brush cleaners!

RIP Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Brush...
This is hands down my FAVORITE brush for applying liquid foundation, I use it almost every single day and it's been through some major abuse...so before you go thinking this brush sucks because it fell apart, let me tell it's story!!! Trust me, this brush is fabulous and I highly recommend it. I bought this Synthetic Flat Top Multipurpose Brush last summer and I raved about it in this review. This brush is ridiculously soft and SUPER dense, which makes applying foundation effortless. Each morning, I dap some foundation on both cheeks and forehead then blend away. This brush blends so well, it doesn't leave streaks and gives great coverage, I love love love it.

Bath time shroomin with LUSH's Magic Mushroom!
Just kidding, we are not eating shrooms and taking a bath...that could be REALLY dangerous (or the best bath you've taken in your entire life LOL). Either way, this bubble bar from LUSH smells AMAZING! I had to get this cute little fungi because I have a slight obsession with mushrooms, real or fake. I think they are so cool...some mushrooms are delicious to eat (sauteed or stuffed), some are hallucinogenic (not so delicious to eat) and some are even poisonous (be careful which you choose :P). And then cartoon mushroom like from Super Mario just look so adorable, I can't get enough of them!
