Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum & Primer Review

I received this Diorshow Maximizer sample for free in my last Sephora order and I’m seriously loving it! So this is the deluxe size, not the full size. It’s been a while since I last used a lash primer but I really like them. They usually dramatically improve the length and volume of my lashes, and this Dior one is no exception! If you have a mascara you don’t like, I would highly suggest using a primer first to improve it…instead of just not using and wasting a mascara. I have a few before and after pictures so you can really see the difference Maximizer, it makes my lashes look 10x better!
Claims: Dior’s first lash primer that combs, curls and coats each lash to create a smooth, even mascara base while acting as a nourishing serum treatment that promotes long-term lash grow, strength and vitality. Instantly primes, plumps and lengthens lashes with an ultra-light and quick-drying formula. This “active serum” mascara primer contains a unique cell-conditioning complex made up of hydrolyzed soy proteins that revitalizes and strengthens the lashes for improved lash growth and hyluaronic spheres that help plump lashes.

Comes in a standard mascara tube with plastic bristles for the brush. I personally really love plastic bristles because I find they separate my lashes the best. This primer serum base should be applied under mascara for intensely curled, thickened and lengthened lashes. You can also apply it on its own as a deep conditioner for lashes at night – I didn’t know this, I just read it on Sephora’s site but I wouldn’t want to do that anyways. Retails for $28 and can be purchased online or where ever Dior is sold!
It goes on white and dries fairly transparent but you can definitely still see some white. It dries very quickly...I’ve tried applying mascara on top of it wet and dry but got the best results when it was dry. Above you can see in the first photo my bare lashes curled and the second photo I applied one coat of Maximizer. It separates my lashes well and instantly adds length and volume !!! The formula feels great, it coats my lashes well and feels lightweight.
Here you can see what it looks likes with one coat of Physicians Formula Organic wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara on top. Don't my lashes look amazing?!? The reason this is impressive because normally coat one of the Physicians Formula does NOT look that good....
See in the second photo that's what one coat of the PF mascara looks like without Maximizer...not so good! (sorry the lighting is different, I took that photo another day) This Physicians Formula mascara isn't too bad, it just needs 3 or more coats to get it to my liking. But it looks much much better with the primer underneath!

I definitely LOVE Diorshow Maximizer! It does what it claims, plumps and lengthens my lashes! As far as long-term growth, I've only been using it a few times a week for 2 months and haven't noticed a difference (my lashes are long enough for me so I don't really want them longer). NOW the question is worth $28?! Yes BUT I think you may be able to first a drugstore lash primer that gives you similar results. I haven't use another lash primer in a while but I do remember they made my lashes longer and fuller instantly as well.

Are you a fan of lash primers?! I think they make life A LOT easier (and saves time in the morning) because I don't have to sit there and do 3 coats of mascara like I usually do. Just one coat of primer and one coat of mascara and my lashes look amazing without as much work! I'm going to buy a drugstore lash primer soon and see if it's just as good. Thanks for reading, I hope this review was helpful!
