Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is this weekend and I'm SUPER bummed I won't be there! EDC is the biggest EDM event of the year...over 300,000 people will be attending! I wanted to do a couple blog posts on "makeup ideas for EDC" but I got busy and ran out of time :( hopefully I can do it for some other events in the future. I wanted to do at least one look inspired by EDC so here it is!
But first here's a picture of my boyfriend and I at EDC 2010! This was one the BEST events I've ever been to, it was so much fun I want to go back! This was the very last one held in Los Angeles at the LA Coliseum (some stupid girl ruined it for us all and they pretty much banned "raves" in LA after this event) so they moved EDC to Las Vegas instead. Now it's a three day event, traveling to Las Vegas costs a lot more money so we haven't been able to attend EDC LV yet but *fingers crossed* we will next year!
At EDC you can be whoever you want to be, it's all about expressing yourself, letting go and having an amazing time while listening to amazing music. Obviously raves are all about BRIGHT colors, neon and black lights everywhere! So I did this sort-of bright look, it could be brighter but these are the colors I reached for first. I really wanted to do a CRAZY makeup look(because you will see lots of girls with crazy beautiful makeup at EDC) but I had to go to work today so this was wearable for work.
I got loads of compliments today, actually a couple people said it reminded them of a peacock haha! So I guess this could be a peacock look as well! You can't really tell in these pics but my lips are super glittery, I love Milani's 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss!
I'm wearing Faux Violet Noir lashes, they are black with violet strands and they are GORGEOUS! They were kind of hard to apply because the band is pretty thick. I also had to cut these significantly but I still love them!

The thing I'm most bummed I'm missing at EDC this year is Q-Dance, they are a traveling hardstyle/hard techno music festival and this will be their first time in the US! I freaking LOVE hardstyle and I am so mad I am missing this!! Gahh well it seems like they will in the US again so I hope they come to Southern California!
What's the best music festival/concert you've ever been to??? I had a blast at EDC 2010 but I would say my top two music festivals would be Beyond Wonderland 2010 and ETD POP 2010 - haha I guess 2010 was a good year!
