Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Review

ExfoliKate really came to my rescue the other day! Out of nowhere I woke up with ridiculously dry FLAKY skin, I've never had flaky skin before. I looked in the mirror and was like, OMG what happened to my face?! I busted out ExfoliKate because I knew it's the best exfoliator I have, and it worked a miracle getting rid of all the flaky skin fast! I received ExfoliKate in my gift bag from the Beauty Social I went to last October. I really love this stuff and figured it's about time I blog about it!

Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate is an intensive exfoliating treatment suitable for all skin types. Contains microbeads and the three powerful P's - Papaya, Pineapple and Pumpkin enzymes designed to effectively clean pores. Salicylic Acid balances hydration without over-drying your skin. Rosewood and Cinnamon extracts are combined in effort to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Lastly Aloe Vera, Honey and Vitamin E smooth and soften the skin. Claims to give you smoother, brighter, healthier-looking skin after just one treatment!
You are suppose to use this once or twice a week, apply thin layer to clean, wet face massaging in a circular motion for 30 seconds then leave on your face for up to 2 minutes. Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry. I love using this in the shower because they also say the steam helps activate the enzymes, making them even more effective. It tingles my skin, which I don't mind, feels like it's actually working. Afterwards my skin feels smoother than ever! This definitely lives up it it's claims. I love that the microbeads are sooo tiny, they really exfoliate your skin well. I typically use this every couple weeks, when I feel like my face needs a little something special.

The only downside to this product...it is EXPENSIVE!! 2 ounces, which is what I have is $85 and it also available in 5 oz which is $175, crazy!!! I'm so grateful I got this in my Beauty Social gift bag because I could never afford this...which is why I use it sparingly. Now do I think it's worth the price tag? Yes and no, it's has some great ingredients but I've tried cheaper exfoliators that do just as good as a job. I definitely recommend this product but if you can't afford it, don't stress about it. I reviewed I bunch of different exfoliators here, those are much more afforable options! So what do you think? Worth the price tag or not? What's your favorite exfoilator? Thanks for reading!
