April Beauty Army!

Here's my Beauty Army kit for the month for April! I don't know if you noticed but I didn't blog about my March kit because I was not happy with the samples I got to choose. I took my profile quiz over and over again, didn't like any of my options. The good news is - Beauty Army listens to their customers so now you can skip a month if you like!! I'm so happy about this, so I won't be wasting money when I don't like my sample options. I'm pleased with my samples this month, so let's take a closer look at what I think about them!

Cover FX Skin Prep FX:
This is a nourishing foundation primer and anti-aging serum that hydrates and smoothes skin to blur the appearance of fine lines and pores. Suitable for sensitive skin...the formula is oil free, fragrance free, paraben free and gluten free. I'm really liking this primer! It looks like a serum, not like your usual primer. It feels very hydrating and absorbs into my skin really well. After I apply my foundation everything looks really smooth. I think it's a great bonus that this helps with anti-aging as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this primer, full size retails for $45.

Pur-Lisee Pur-Lip Comfort:
This is a petroleum-free lip balm that nourishes chapped, cracked lips. Contains Vitamin E, mango and Shea butters to hydrate and nourish lips. I was excited to try this because I still haven't found the perfect lip balm, unfortunately this hasn't ended my search. This feel very smooth on my lips, doesn't taste or smell like anything but it's not as moisturizing as I hoped for. Actually it's not moisturizing at all and I feel like I need to apply something to my lips after an hour of applying this. I really picky about my lips balms (even FRESH and EOS aren't my favorite, just okay)...I would not recommend this lip balm, retails for $16.

Karuna Brightening Treatment Mask:
This is an all natural fiber cloth mask that soaks skin with grapefruit seed extract which deflects environmental toxins from the skin while rare asian plant extracts help to help even and revive the skin's surface. The all-natural fiber cloth retains 50% more moisture than synthetics, helping pores to fully aborb the paraben-free ingredients. This mask was nice to try, my skin felt very clean and hydrated...I wouldn't say it's anything special, but my skin did feel "revived" afterwards. 4 masks (one month supply) retails for $28.

Chella Razor with Brush and Comb:
So when I picked this sample I wasn't sure what the razor would look like...once I got it I realized I've tried something exactly the same before and didn't really like it. I could always use a another eyebrow brush and comb, but I don't like how the razor performs. It's removes hairs okay, since you have to use light strokes it doesn't remove all your hair that effectively. If you press TOO hard you will cut your skin. Requires some technique, I don't think it's the best hair removal out there. Retails for $10.

Lavaque Professionals Crystal Nail File:
I was really excited to get this crystal nail file even though I already have two haha. It files my nails really well, I definitely like using glass nail files more than emery boards. Not much else to say, great nail file! Retails for $5.95.

Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finish Powder:
This finishing powder is made with real diamonds! I'm surprised it isn't more expensive, only $18.50 for a carat of diamonds in each full sized jar. The patented diamond complex creates a flawless finish, the fine powder settles into your lines and pores translucently, and the photoluminescence subtly illuminates a blue glow invisible to the naked eye which decrease the appearance of wrinkles. This powder also bends and refracts light to reduce visibility of imperfections. I don't know about all these claims but I do really like this finishing powder. The powder is very soft and blends into the skin well. My skin looks smooth and helps my foundation last the whole day. The only thing I don't like about finishing powders, this one included, is when I take pictures with flash I only A LOT whiter than usual, almost like a ghost haha.

Those are my samples for April's Beauty Army kit! My favorite product was definitely the Cover FX foundation primer. Did you choose any of the same items in you kit this month? If you don't have Beauty Army, have you tried any of these products before? I'd love to hear your thoughts, thanks so much for reading!
