March Birchbox

Birchbox teamed up with Teen Vogue to put together this month's box! I heard they sent out an email asking if you would like to receive the Teen Vogue box or not but I never got that email. I got this box anyways and I'm not sure how I feel about it...I love it but I hate it all at the same time haha. Keep reading to find out why!

A lot of people are saying this month is the best Birchbox ever...they received the Teen Vogue box too but their contents are a little different than mine. Some people got a full size Tarte LipSurgence and I am soooo jealous! If I got that I would've been extremely happy with this box. But I did get a beautyblender when a lot of other people didn't, so I'll stop complaining now...

Kerastase Elixir Ultime:
This hair oil contains a unique combo of four essential oils (camellia, argan, maize and pracaxi oils) to leave strands super shiny and manageable. This can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment, leave-in conditioner and heat protectant before blow drying. I didn't notice much of a difference pre-shampooing but I really liked it as a leave in treatment. My felt softer and smoother after applying. Full size retails for $54.

Annick Goutal Petite Cherie:
IF I RECEIVE ONE MORE FREAKING PERFUME SAMPLE!!! ...Okay I still like Birchbox but I am really over the perfume samples, and this isn't the first time I've said it...probably the 5th haha. Anyways, this smells TERRIBLE. All I smell is rubbing alcohol and something else, I don't know what but I don't like it. Moving on...

Essie A Cut Above:
Full size Essie polish, yay! I was going to buy this color when I bought two others from the Luxeffects collection, As Gold As It Gets and Pure Pearlfection. But I'm glad I decided not to buy it! This polish looks to be a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Some Enchanted Evening as well. I'm wearing Zoya Marley above...I don't really like this combination but that's what I had on my nails and did a quick glitter gradient. I love pink and I love glitter!

FRESH Sugar Rose Lip Treatment:
I'm excited I received this (although I would have rather got a Tarte LipSurgence) because I just returned my full size one to Sephora...that probably doesn't make sense so let me explain. I bought one from Sephora because I was really impressed when I tried it for the first time at the Beauty Social event. After a couple days of using it I realized I wasn't that impressed anymore, if I'm going to spend $23 on ONE lip balm it better be the best lip balm ever...and it wasn't. It's not any better than my EOS or Aquaphor that I usually use, so I returned it but I'm not saying it's bad. I don't mind having this mini one, because it still does feel really nice (just not worth $23 IMO).

Twistband Hair Tie:
Alright I'm kind of pissed I got this because I already got one in my August Birchbox and I think it looks stupid. Why is there a knot?! Yes it holds my hair nice and tight without pull my hair or leaving a dent. But that stupid knot sticks out and looks funny.

As you can tell this was a love/hate Birchbox...I loved the Essie polish and Fresh Sugar but I hated the perfume sample and hair tie. Were you lucky enough to get a Tarte LipSurgence? Let me know what you think!
