Klout Perks!

If you're not on Klout already I don't know what you're waiting for! Okay I will admit, I was a little intimidated to join Klout at first when I saw a bunch of people giving +Ks on Twitter and I had no idea what it was. I received an invite (you don't need one though) from Krystal, and thought well I have no idea how this works but let's join! I'm glad I finally did because I've received two cool FREE "perks" since joining - just for doing my thing! I just wanted to introduce you guys to Klout if you haven't joined yet and show you the perks I've received so far...

What is Klout?

Klout is basically a website that measures your influence online by using data from your social networks. Anywhere you have an online presence, you have the opportunity to influence people by creating or sharing content that inspires actions such as likes, retweets, comments and more. The more engagement your posts receive, the more influential you are.
Score:
With this information Klout measures your online influence and gives you a Score on a scale of 1 to 100. My Score is 41, the average is 20...the higher your score the better.
Topics:
Along with your Score, Klout finds your most influential topics based on the engagement you receive from others. Klout analyzes content on your social networks and assigns you topics automatically or you can suggest your own topic. I'm influential about 13 topics...Cosmetics, Beauty, Blogging, Photography, Reviews and more.
+Ks:
You can give other Klout users a "+K" to acknowledge that they have influenced you! For example, say you just read one of my reviews and thought it was helpful, you could give me a +K in Reviews!
Perks:
Free stuff! Klout Perks are exclusive products or experiences that you earn based on your influence. Influencers have earned sweet Perks like laptops and airline tickets. However they are limited, so if you receive a Perk you need to claim it before it is full or you may miss out. Sometimes they will email you about it but I try to check Klout regularly just in case.

You and Improved:

This is the first Klout Perk I received, it was offered to people with Klout scores above 35 in the topics Beauty or Health. I received two tubes of RoC Skincare Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream - one for me and one for my mom, awesome!

HAZE x Heineken:

This Perk was offered to people with a score above 35 in Beer or Music. This came in a really nice Heineken box containing two custom draught glasses. I love these, they are perfect for my boyfriend and I because we do drink beer often.
