Here's the samples I CHOOSE for this month's Beauty Army! My kit reported for duty last Saturday and I've been using these products everyday since then. Now that I've tried and tested them I can give you my intial opinions! I'm very impressed with a couple of products and may even buy the full size in the future, so let's a closer look at each of them...
This product is a super-charged comprehensive skin repair for stretch marks, wrinkles and aging skin. Formulated with a complex of 8% (NIA-114+ Peptide) Actives to improve the appearance of wrinkles and stretch marks in just 2-8 weeks. Improves visible discolorations, hydrates, improves texture and tone of the skin. The ingredient "NIA-114" was discovered in skin cancer research to hep rebuild skin layers and results are documented in multiple global patents and clinical studies.
I choose this product because the ingredients sound really promising and I have stretch marks I'd love to get rid of. I've been applying this product on my sides (cough cough love handles) and my boobs because that's where I have the most stretch marks. I'm only on day 6 and I haven't seen any results but I'm not expecting any because they say it takes about 8 weeks for stretch marks to be visibly diminished. This is a really good sample size but probably not enough for 8 weeks haha. Which brings me to the price tag $135 for 5 oz!!! I can't see this fitting into my budget but I sure hope this product works for the hefty price. Have you used a product that got rid or your stretch marks? I'd love to know about it! Indie Lee The Shampoo:
This shampoo is all natural, FREE of paraben, phthalate, sulfate, DEA, TEA, artificial fragrance, propylene glycol and no animal testing! This sounds like my kind of shampoo! I switched to all natural shampoos a couple months ago and I love them...some of my favorites are from Burts Bees, The Body Shop and one from Trader Joes. This one from Indie Lee is the most expensive, $22 for 12 oz so that's probably why I won't purchase the full size. However I really like it and recommend it. [Purchase this product here]
Mama Mio Boob Tube:
This is a cream that makes your neck, chest and boobs look firmer, fitter, glowing, dewy and youthful! This vulnerable area of the skin is exposed to daily sun, gravity and needs protecting. Rich in CoQ10 to maintain strength and structure of collagen fibers and packed with other fantastic natural actives. Basically, this product is designed to help avoid saggy boobs haha. You are suppose to apply it once daily from neck to below boobs.
I'll be honest I'll only 22 and I don't have the "perkiest" boobs, but then again I'm a size 36D pushing DD! I've been using this for 6 days and I haven't felt a difference yet, and they say you should after 5 days. I'm going to continue to use my sample because I always forget to take care of this area of my body and it could use extra attention. Full size if $45 for 3.4 oz, I may consider buying this product since I could use it! [Purchase this product here]
Weleda Iris Hydrating Day Cream:
This is an all-natural daytime moisturizer for dry to very dry skin. Nutrient-intensive treatment that balances your skin's natural moisture and provides a healthy base. Iris root extract helps your skin naturally balance itself, organic shea butter, carotene and vitamins A, E and F protect your skin against harmbul environmental influences. I've been leaning more and more towards natural products and I'm really liking this one! This sample came at the perfect time because I usually don't have dry skin but it's been dry lately and now that I've used this for almost a week my skin feel normal again. I really like this, it was light and stinked into my skin quickly so I could apply foundation. If I get a chance to try the one for normal skin I may purchase the full size, which is $20 for 1 oz. Freeman Beauty Pssssst Instant Dry Shampoo:
This is a dry shampoo that refreshes and rejuvenates hair by soaking up excess oil, removing product build-up and boosting volume. Cleans, deodorizes and conditions hair without water! I've other dry shampoo I've tried is Tressemme's Fresh Start Dry Shampoo and I hated it, it totally sucked and didn't not help my hair. Now this dry shampoo on the other hand...OMG I LOVE IT!!! I wash my hair every 2 or 3 days and always by the third day my hair is feeling gross and I can't wait to shower. When I used this product on my third day without a hair wash it made a serious difference! My hair didn't feel icky anymore, all the oil was gone and my hair definitely looked and felt freshly shampooed. I'm so impressed I think I can handle a third day(maybe even a fourth?) without shampooing more often! This product is only $6.99 and can be purchased here.
SunFX Summer's Secret:
This is an ultra smooth, luscious and hydrating moisturizer that builds a natural glowing tan over a few days. Contains Dihydroxyaxetone (DHA) which is a 100% natural tanning agent that reacts with the amino acids in the skin to produce a rich, natural looking tan. As you you can see from the picture above this stuff WORKS! And very well I might add, after just one use my skin was already a tiny bit darker and looked so natural. I've tried a lot of different self-tanners in the past I think this might be my favorite, although I still need to test it on my legs...I only used it on my right arm so I could compare the results. This lotion was moisturizing and only had a slight "self-tanner" scent to it, which faded quickly. Don't forget to wash your hands after applying it because even though the lotion is white it will stain your hands! I think the before and after speaks for itself, this product is $29.95 for 200 ml and can be purchased here.
Overall I'm VERY pleased with my products inside February's Beauty Army kit! I think I found some new products I really want to buy and add to my daily routine! Kind of hard to choose my favorite but I think I'll say Freeman Beauty's dry shampoo since I was so impressed. Have you tried any of these products, what are you thoughts? By the way I was just wondering...are my Beauty Army/Birchbox posts TOO wordy??? Most of time I see other girls just posting "oh look what I got this month" but I like to talked about the product then give my opinion. Just want to know because I spend a lot of time writing :) I appreciate your feed back, so if you did read this THANKS!
