HUGE thank you to Mandy at Prettymaking, I won this stunning Chanel lipstick from her giveaway back in January. Mandy is a wonderfully talented makeup artist, if you aren't following her blog already I urge you to head on over and check out some of her beautiful looks! I am so grateful to have this lipstick, it is something I wouldn't normally be able to afford myself. Everything about this lipstick has me in awe, from the packaging to the actual color of this lipstick. I went a little crazy photographing but I put together these collages so you aren't overwhelmed with a ton pictures. I just to capture the luxuriousness at every angle...

To open the lipstick you simply press down on the gold cap, it makes a nice "click" sound and you can remove the lipstick tube. The iconic "double-C" in gold is so alluring, I want to show it off the world...
Rouge Byzantin is described as an "iridescent ruby red with a hint of Sapphire, for a rich, jewel-toned lip look." The color is simply gorgeous. The lipstick tube is even engraved with a serial number, 4001 because the stock was so limited...which you see in the top right photo above. I love how "Chanel" is engraved into the lipstick itself as well.
The texture of this lipstick is very smooth, creamy and super opaque. I only need 2-3 swipes across my lips for full intensity of the color. It is a perfect ruby red color with tiny pink shimmer, I had a hard time capturing the pink shimmer but you can slightly see it here.
Wear time of this lipstick is fabulous, it lasts for HOURS. If I'm not eating or drinking I only need one coat to touch up after 5 hours or so. One thing I LOVE the most about this lipstick is how it does not dry out my lips at all. I don't wear lipstick often because I have very dry lips, but this Chanel lipstick is actually quite moisturizing. I don't apply a lip balm under it and my lips feel great the whole time wearing it! If this is the case with all Chanel lipsticks, they may just be worth the price tag.
Every time I wear Rouge Byzantin, I get a ridiculous amount of compliments...even one of my coworkers said: "You should wear that lipstick every day, it makes you look beautiful." This lipstick makes me feel so confident and it's impossible to have a frown on my face while wearing it.
I adore Rouge Byzantin, the color is stunning and I feel like a million bucks wearing it! I can't get enough of Chanel's packaging either, it is so elegant. Now I feel drawn to have more to have more Chanel in my life....what's your favorite product by Chanel?
