Just kidding, we are not eating shrooms and taking a bath...that could be REALLY dangerous (or the best bath you've taken in your entire life LOL). Either way, this bubble bar from LUSH smells AMAZING! I had to get this cute little fungi because I have a slight obsession with mushrooms, real or fake. I think they are so cool...some mushrooms are delicious to eat (sauteed or stuffed), some are hallucinogenic (not so delicious to eat) and some are even poisonous (be careful which you choose :P). And then cartoon mushroom like from Super Mario just look so adorable, I can't get enough of them!
Magic Mushroom is a limited edition Valentine's Day bubble bar at LUSH, so you can only find it between January and February. Retails for $5.95 and can be used in one or two baths, depending on how many bubbles you want!
It has two distinct scents, the red cap smells like strawberries and the white part smells like vanilla...put them together and you've got a bowl of strawberries and cream, YUMMY! To get an awesome bath full of bubbles all you need to do is crumble it up under running warm water, stronger the water pressure the bigger the bubbles.
The water turns a light pinkish-red color...perfect for the Valentine's Day theme! My skin felt soft and clean inside the bath, not to mention smelled so sweet and delicious. After drying myself off, my skin still felt very smooth...
Which brings me to my only complaint about this product, it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate. You've probably heard all the buzz about why sulfates are bad: it can damage your hair, dry out your skin, irritate and be toxic in lots of different ways. I've been using products that are FREE of sulfates for quite a few months now, and I was very disappointed to find out lots of LUSH products have SLS's in them. But I thought, aw what the heck it's just ONE bath (I haven't taken one in months). Luckily my skin didn't feel dry, actually quite smooth after using this product. Magic Mushroom made bath time so much fun (if only it was really magical...) and I would definitely recommend it! :)
