Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics: Blush Review

These are the last of the Lumiere products sent to me for review, blushes! Lumiere has a wide range of cheek colors to choose from...pinks, peaches, reds, browns and even violets! I received Poppy and Sweet Cherub, two pink blushes that are best suited for fair skin. Lumiere was having an awesome Black Friday sale, 50% off store wide and I am so sad I didn’t get to take advantage of it - or any deals last weekend for that matter, boo for being broke! A full size blush is $12 for 4 grams, the sample jar I have here is $2.50 or you can even get a baggie for $1.00.

November Julep Maven "Bombshell"

For my second Julep Maven box this month I requested a shelf pull on my American Beauty box and asked for Bombshell instead. I didn't want American Beauty because it was suppose to come with the polish Trina which was included in my "Polish Lover" box. WELL Julep still sent me American Beauty BUT they actually realized their mistake and I got an email saying Bombshell was being sent to me before I even contacted them about it, so I guess that's a good thing on their part. Today I'll be sharing my Bombshell box which included a nail polish, lip gloss and makeup bag! I'll also show the lip gloss that was in American Beauty box but I won't show the polish Trina because I already swatched it here and the makeup bag was the same for both boxes.

"All eyes on me, in the center of the ring"

"Just like a circus!" ...Sorry just had that Britney Spears song stuck in my head because last night my friends and I took a party bus to Circus disco in Hollywood last night. Just wanted to share the makeup I did for the night! The club was okay, not really fancy...DJ Lange was playing, the music was okay but I had lots of fun dancing all night! For this makeup look, the star of the show is Sugarpill Goldilux. After using it the first time for my Thanksgiving makeup, I was DYING to use it again. It's so freaking gorgeous!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers in the US! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and enjoying lots of yummy food! My family celebrates Thanksgiving every year at my Grandma's house, usually 15 or more relatives get together and eat TONS of food. I'm always full of appetizers by the time dinner is ready, but dessert is definitely my favorite part! I looove pie, it's hard to choose which one is my favorite but I'd have to say lemon meringue! What's your favorite part of Thanksgiving? Oh and spending time with my family too ;)

I just wanted to share my makeup and nails for today! I actually had time to do my makeup since I didn't have to get up superrr early for work, hooray! My look is Thanksgiving inspired, with warm fall colors...almost like autumn leaves!

EcoTools Beautiful Expressions Kabuki Set Review

I've heard so many great things about EcoTools and finally made my first purchase! This is the EcoTools Limited Edition Beautiful Expressions Kabuki Set, which contains four brushes made of recycled aluminum and cruelty-free taklon bristles. I was actually planning to buy the Bambo Bronzer Brush but I saw this set and decided to get it instead! The brushes look soo cute, and I knew I would put them all to good use. The set includes a conceal, bronze, contour and buff kabuki brushes, everything you need for a total face makeover! (Note: in the picture above the brushes are labeled incorrectly, swap the bronze and contour brush...I must have put them back wrong for the photo, oops!). Available at Target, Walgreens, Ulta and other locations for only $14.99, great price for these wonderful brushes! This set also limited edition, I have no idea how long they will be available so get it while you can! Every single one of these brush is super soft and work really well! I've using these in different then how they are labeled, so I'll review each brush individually...

My Company's Holiday Party!

You probably hear me talked about work and how busy I am all the time, but I don't think I've ever said what I acutally do! Well it's nothing special haha...I work at an Audi dealership and I am the service cashier/receptionist and also help with warranty work. Not that exciting but I like my job and it puts food...makeup and nail polish on the table haha! So every year my company has a weekend holiday party where they take us somewhere and they pay for the hotel room for two nights, also airfare/gas to travel! Sadly this was our last holiday party because the owner of the company is retiring and selling the company...super sad face =( This was something very generous that the company did for the employees, I looked forward to it every year because I can't afford to go on a vacation myself. It was always a really nice weekend getaway. Previous years we went to Phoenix, Arizona, Las Vegas, Neveda, Lomas Santa Fe, California and this year when stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point, CA. Here's a few photos from the weekend...

Here are the three Loose Eye Pigments sent to me for review by Lumiere! e.l.f. haul!

I don't normally like "haul" posts but I won Nykki's mane blog 200 subscribers giveaway, so I thought I'd share what I got!!! The prize was a $30 gift certificate to www.eyeslipsface.com, thanks again Nykki! She is super sweet and really supportive of other bloggers, check out her blog if you haven't already :D I picked up a few items I've been wanting to try for a while now...but I had to keep telling myself "You don't need any more eye shadows Amanda" haha. So I focused on getting other essential and useful items!

List of the goodies:
Holiday Shimmer Lip Gloss Collection - I'll have swatches of this set soon!
Brush Shampoo - I'm running low my Sonia Kashuk brush cleaner and wanted to try this one out!
Makeup Mist & Set - I really wanted to compare this to my Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, look out for a comparison post in the future!
Eye Primer & Liner Sealer - Very interested in the liner sealer, hopefully I can put some of my eyeliners that tend to smudge to good use with the help this.
Matte Lip Color in Coral - I put this on already and I'm not to thrilled, the color is okay but it feels really dry on my lips.
Angled Contour Brush - I really like e.l.f.'s studio brushes, I think they work great and are only $3 each!
Retractable Lip Brush - My first ever lip brush haha!
Zit Zapper - I have no clue if this will works well but the ingredients look good: salicylic acid, tea tree leaf oil and witch hazel.
Gem Tweezer with Pouch - I'm always losing my tweeers, I have no idea how...loving this bedazzled one!
Matte Finisher Nail Polish - For some reason my Essie Matte About You is leaving streaks when I apply it. I'll be comparing these two polishes as well!

Do you have any must have e.l.f. products? I think the Eyelid Primer is amazing and I love the Brightening Eyeshadow Quad in Drama. Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!

NOTD Zoya Cynthia

This is Zoya Cynthia. A smokey blackened peacock teal. I love this mysterious blue color. I decided to spice it up a bit with some stamping, although afterwards I believe the color would have been best left alone. I used BM-213 plate with a Konad Special Polish in Silver. I thought this silver color would really pop, unfortunately it falls quite flat. I got the silver polish in a Konad nail art set, along with a black. The black works amazingly but I'm disappointed the silver isn't super shimmery...like it looks in the bottle. Also I didn't line up the design on my nails the way I pictured in my head. When nail stamping you have to work somewhat fast or the polish will dry up and the image won't transfer correctly. And if you mess up you have to remove allll your polish and start over, not fun! So I didn't take my time to place it exactly where I wanted, I just went for it. Never the less, still a unique manicure! That's it for today's nail of the day, I hope you have wonderful Wednesday! :)

Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics: Foundation Review

Hello beauties, today I have a review of some Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics! These products were sent to me for review by Lumiere, but of course these are my honest opinions! I hadn’t heard of this company until one of my coworkers showed me their tweets that they were looking for beauty bloggers to review their products, so I took advantage of the opportunity! Based in New York, Lumiere provides a very wide range of affordable mineral cosmetics! I really like how they emailed me a questionnaire to fill out so they could decide which colors would best suit me. I received two foundations, two blushes and three eye colors. I decided to split the posts because I have a lot to say and wanted to be detailed so you get a good idea of what Lumiere is all about! So first let’s talk about foundations!

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

I first saw swatches of this polish at Mandy's blog Prettymaking and immediately fell in LOVE! The next day, I acted like a crazy person trying to find this beauty...couldn't find it at my local Target/CVSx2/Walgreens/Rite Aid so I drove to the next town about 10 miles away. No luck at CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid...but alas it was at Target!!! Hooray! Of course, now I always see it just sitting there at my local Target...there was really no rush to get it haha. And you know what's even funnier? This is the first time I'm wearing it...I got it in September and didn't touch it till November!! What is wrong with me? Beauty blogging has really made me do some funny things...like putting on makeup at 10pm with no plans to go anywhere except to bed, or taking pictures of swatches outside and my roommates looking at my funny like, why are you taking pictures of your arm?? heh...
This nail polish is beautiful...dark base + glitter = WIN! Actually the black base is pretty sheer so I used one coat of Sally Hansen Black Out and then two coats of Facets of Fushcia. What's even more exciting is this polish a basically a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance, goodbye lemming :D check out this comparison of the two, they are close enough to save me $18! Bad Romance is very opaque but as long you apply a black polish before Facets of Fuchsia there are no major differences! And this Revlon polish was only $5...and you should be able to find it at most drugstores! That's all for today, just a quick NOTD...have a superb weekend!!!

Faux: Tiny Stars

Faux has won me over again with their amazing lashes! This is the last pair of lashes Faux sent me as a part of the Fabulous People Press Kit! This pair is called tiny stars and is a part of their Fantastique collection. These eye lashes are sooo cute, I love them!! They are $12 (free shipping) and can be purchased on their website. Like all Faux lashes, these are EXCELLENT quality. If you haven't had a chance to pick up some Faux lashes, they are having a sale coming up...see below!!!

FOTD I love the color red!

Totally could not think of what to called this look haha! I wanted to do a look using the Evil Shades Zombie Collection before Halloween but I was pretty busy and didn't get around to it till now! I used three of the eye shadows here...Living Dead Zone, Braaains and Zombified. I think the red and orange eye shadow really make my blue eyes pop! Also I am wearing a new foundation sent to me by Lumiere for review, I will have a review of the products they sent me soon...it's been raining here in SD and haven't had good lighting for photos. What do you guys do when there's no sunlight to take good photos? I like to use natural lighting for products and swatches, I think they look best. But I usually use flash for FOTD/EOTD's...which I know isn't the best option either because it can wash colors out but I usually do my looks at night. I'm learning as I go...lighting has been my biggest challenge, if you have any suggestions/advice let me know :)

Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Bronzer

Physicians Formula is one of my new favorite drugstore brands! I've been buying more and more of their products and loving all of them. They are excellent quality and better for my acne-prone, sensitive skin. Also they are cruelty free! I’ve been working my way to only using cruelty free products...I haven’t officially announced it because I want to use up all my non-cruelty free products first (I already spent my money on them, why throw them out?) but yes, I am going cruelty free :D

November Julep Maven "Polish Lover"

This month Julep gave us the option to recieve a "Polish Lover" box which includes three different nail polishes! The regular box this month included one nail polish, lipgloss and a makeup bag, so for the people who didn't want those things this option was perfect! As you may know I receive two boxes every month...one which I pay for and the other is sent to me for free by Julep. So I will be getting a lipgloss and makeup bag too but that box hasn't arrived yet! It's weird sometimes my boxes arrive at the same time, sometimes they don't. Here are the three dark/vampy colors I got...Diane, Michelle and Trina:

Amika: Nourishing Mask & Oil Treatment Review

I got these two samples in my gift bag from the Beauty Social and tried them out last night! Let me just say, even though I was only able to try it once...I LOVE them! I've seen the brand Amika around but never really looked into it until now, if you haven't either their products have some really awesome ingredients! I've tried a TON of hair masks and oils for my frizzy hair...nothing else except this and one other product (will review soon) tames my frizz. So let's see what these are all about!
