November Birchbox!

This month’s “Getting Gifty” Birchbox is all about getting a head start on your holiday planning with a collection of gift-worthy products! I got my box pretty late this month and it arrived while I was away at my company’s holiday party. If you didn't already know Birchbox is starting a Birchbox Man for men, I'm pretty excited and plan on getting it for my boyfriend! I like most of the products I got this month, let’s see!

Atelier Cologne Vanille Insesée Cologne Aboloue:
This is an autumn-ready perfume with warm notes of vanilla, oak wood and amber. I actually really like this perfume, it smells quite sweet. If you’ve read my other Birchbox posts you know I always have to ask my boyfriend’s opinion, because if he doesn’t like it I won’t wear it. His response was “It’s okay” so I’ll use up the sample but don’t plan on buying it (plus a full size bottle is $170, ouch!). It actually lasted longer on me than most perfumes! My mom said I smelled good and I applied it 10 hours ago before work, brownie points for that! The perfume also came with a postcard, which is the picture you see above but I don't plan on using it.

BORGHESE Fango Active Mud:
This is a classic Italian treatment with mineral-rich mud from Tuscany’s volcanic hills. The soothing green mud is famous for its deep cleaning powers, rids skin of impurities and purges your pores of built-up gunk! Also contains nourishing avocado and sweet almond oils to restore hydration and softness. I’m loving this mask…it had a slight cooling feeling and made my skin feel tight, but it was not drying at all! I was a little confused on how long to leave it on because the tube says 2-5 minutes but Birchbox said 5-10 minutes. But I left it on for almost 10, I could see around my nose it really drew out the oil, and my skin felt very soft afterwards. The full size product is $64 and can also be used on your body!

LaROCCA Skincare Champagne & Shimmer Supreme Crème:
This body butter is made with 24-karart colloidal gold to helps stimulate cell renewal. Contains shea, murumuru, olive butter, jojoba and cranberry extracts to soften the skin. Well that sounds SUPER fancy, but I’m not falling for it. I'm not a fan of the scent, it kind of smells like oranges. I don’t like how it didn’t really blend into the skin well, it looks and feels a little greasy – but I suppose it is hydrating. And I barely noticed the golden shimmer too, it actually disappeared from my skin really fast. I thought this would be more expensive, $35 for 6.76 oz.

Zoya Izzy:
I almost already had this color! It’s a complicated story haha, I’ll share when I show swatches of Zoya Kissy soon. This is a gorgeous bold pink, excellent formula and opaque in two coats!

Two Paperdolls Ampersand Coasters:
This was the "treat" this month. Coasters. Really? I don’t like the design and they look cheap. There’s definitely better, and cuter coasters out there. I'm just going to keep them at work, probably won't use them much.

BaubleBar Black Wood Pop Bracelet:
This was a prize I unlocked from Birchbox! I love this bracelet, it looks so chic!

That’s it for November’s Birchbox! My favorite product this month is a tie between Borghese Mud Mask and Zoya Izzy, love them both! I think this box would have been really lacking if I didn’t get the bracelet too. Any other Birchboxers out there, what did you think of your box this month???
