Salma Hayek has a new line of makeup, skin and hair care available at CVS/pharmacy stores! When I first heard about it I was pretty excited because I shop at CVS a lot so it is nice to see something new! I like Salma Hayek ever since seeing the movie Fools Rush In when I was younger because she reminded me of my mom (my mom is Mexican and Salma acted exactly like my mom does lol!) and I know my mom loves Salma too because she can definitely relate to her! Salma says "My line is inspired by my grandmother, who dedicated her life to keeping women beautiful. My products are designed to help every woman enhance the nuances that define her individual beauty, and make my grandmother proud." All the products are paraben free too. I picked up a few makeup items while CVS was having a Buy One Get One Free on the entire line! This Flawless Mineral Cheek Trio in Pink will be the first item I am reviewing. I don’t have a blush/bronze/highlight all in one compact so I decided to try this out, and the colors looked perfect for me...
So this trio includes a pink blush, muddy bronzer and beige highlighter with bronze and lavender spots. There are also three other shades available: Apricot, Mauve and Spice. They all have shimmer and the texture is very soft and smooth. The colors picked up on my brush easily and blended very well. I think the colors are best used individually to contour, blush and highlight. When I swirled them all together it the bronzer over powered the rest and made it too muddy looking. Also since I have very light skin I had to use the bronzer very very lightly! But that’s pretty much always the case with any bronzer I use! Overall I really like this trio and the colors look nice on my skin! Here's a picture of me wearing it so you can get a better idea of what it looks like on!
On a side note I just wanted to say really quickly that tried both mascaras from Nuance Salma Hayek line: the Full Effect Ultra-Volumizing Mascara and Winning Look Ultra-Defining Mascara. I did not like either of them. I was going to do a full review but decided not too because I didn’t like anything about them and they were returned. I’m pretty picky about my mascara and these definitely didn’t do it for me. Just wanted to let you guys know!
